Twitter will no longer allow free promotion of certain social media platforms on Twitter. Linking to Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr and Post is now against the rules. Link aggregators such as linktr.ee, lnk.bio and Linktree are also banned. Twitter is trying to clean up its platform and make it more user-friendly. This will benefit creators as social media platforms are less likely to promote their content if it goes against Twitter's rules.
